Nicoletta Balbo

Dr. Balbo is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University. She was an AXA Post-doctoral Fellow at the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy (Bocconi University) in 2013-2016. She received a PhD in Sociology from the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (ICS), based at the University of Groningen, in 2012. She is a research fellow at the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy (Bocconi University). Her research interests lie in the areas of sociology of the family, fertility and life course research, social capital and networks. Moreover she has been working at the intersection between health and social sciences focusing on adolescents’ health behaviors, children disability and subjective well-being.
