Matthew Parbst

Matt is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bocconi University's Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy, where he leads a work package on the WELFAIR Horizon Europe project on intergenerational fairness. He works at the intersection of comparative social policy, public health, and causal inference methodology. His research focuses on how welfare state policies shape population health and wellbeing across the life course, with particular attention to policy synergies across institutional contexts. His current projects span alcohol policy evaluation, pension reform and health in later life, intergenerational health inequalities, and fertility dynamics in European welfare states.
