Laura Fumanelli is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bocconi University. Her research focuses on population dynamics, mathematical and computational modeling of epidemic phenomena, and quantitative epidemiology. After obtaining a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Trento, she has contributed to the development of computational models to study infectious disease spread, social contact behavior, and the impact of control measures during public health emergencies. Her work has covered influenza epidemics, Ebola, and COVID-19, with a specific focus on constructing high-resolution agent-based models of human interactions and evaluating prevention strategies. Her scientific activity lies at the intersection of applied mathematics and epidemiology, aiming to provide quantitative tools to support public health decision-making.
