Alessia Galdeman is contributing to the development of an experimental study aimed at understanding how people decide to adopt preventive behaviours against infectious diseases, and how cooperation between individuals can influence exposure to pandemic risk. The study uses simple decision-making games that simulate shared risk situations, in which participants are asked to repeatedly choose how to behave, taking into account the decisions of others. This approach allows for the collection of empirical data on the role of individual perceptions, the costs associated with preventive behaviours, and social interactions, with the aim of improving the representation of human behaviours in epidemiological studies. Data collection is scheduled for March-May 2026.
